Specialized in ROV Personnel training, our instructors have proven experience gained directly in the international field, working for the largest contractors and agencies in the Oil & Gas sector. Through our courses, we provide students with the basic technical/practical knowledge that future ROV pilots will need to enter the inshore and offshore job market.

The Rov Pilot Technician
Between experience and competence
The ROV Pilot Technician, acronym of Remotely Operated Vehicle Pilot Technician, is a professional specialized in piloting remotely controlled underwater robots. Operating from naval vessels or offshore platforms, the ROV Pilot Technician uses ROVs capable of reaching depths up to 4000 meters.
ROVs are equipped with propulsion motors and can be fitted with various cameras and hydro-mechanical arms to perform a variety of tasks, such as opening valves and inspecting underwater structures. These devices are widely used in the oil industry for inspections, laying submarine cables, searching for and recovering wrecks, and taking samples.
In addition to the oil industry, ROVs are used in areas such as civil engineering, defense and the security, marine scientific research and underwater archeology. The ROV Pilot Technician is responsible for conducting precise and professional work, ensuring the proper operation of the ROV system during all phases of underwater operations.
The role requires specialized skills in mechanics, electronics and hydraulics, as well as rigorous attention to detail and to safety.
